DIY Statement Necklace
Materials:-
Old CD's
Chain
Jump-rings and Jewelry Hooks
Wire
Pliers and Wire Cutters
Acrylic colours and Brushes
Candle/Lighter
Scissors
Mod Podge
How to:-
1. Cut the Cd's into any shape of your choice using a pair of scissors. I cut mine into five irregular rectangles.
The size can vary.
2. Take a piece of thick wire. Heat one end of the wire with a lighter or a candle. Now with the heated part of the wire make holes in the pieces of your Cd's.
3. Paint your Cd's with acrylic colours. I used red and yellow. To give it a certain texture, I overlapped colours until I got it right. It took me about 3 coats. Colour the back side of the Cd too.
4.Once the paint is completely dried, apply Mod Podge evenly giving the whole piece a finish. Let it dry.
5. Cut the chain according to your design using a wire cutter. Put jump-rings through the holes of the Cd's and attach them to the chain with the help of your pliers.
Ta-da! It's done.
I had super fun doing this DIY. I hope you guys try this out.
Let me know how it goes.

Go Wild Geeks!
Its awesome ! (y)
From where did you get Mod-Podge in India ?
You don't really get Mod-Podge in India that easily.
I really really really tried hard and I finally cracked a easier replacement for Mod-Podge.
Mix about 4 spoons of Fevicol with around 3 spoons of water.
It is a really easy method.
Happy DIY-ing!
