DIY Lace Shorts

Hello!
I am going to be creating Lace Shorts this time. I got request for summer DIY's and lace shorts are absolutely perfect.
Creating your own lace shorts can be a little tricky and takes a lot of time. I had to try 2 different methods and I will demonstrate the simplest method.
So, lets get started.

Supplies:-
Cotton Shorts. (These should be really loose at your thighs.)
Lace. (6 to 7 metres, depending on the width of your lace and the length of your shorts.)
Hot Glue Gun. (I am totally against using Hot Glue Gun on fabric but this gave me the best results.)
Thread and Needle.
Newspapers.
A Pair of Scissors.

How To:-
1. Wash and iron your cotton shorts. Inside each of the leg, place a layer of newspapers.

2. Take your lace and start glueing it to the shorts. You an start from the top but it is always better to start from the bottom so as to get a perfect upward layering. Just a cut a piece of lace that measures up the circumference of the leg and glue it up on the both the sides (back and front). Make sure the shorts have no creases while you do this. Do this till you reach the top portion.

3. Let the glue dry and try not to touch or wear it before it dries. Give it an hour or so.

4. Once the lace is perfectly placed on the shorts, sew the edges to give it a finer and finished look. It is very important to secure the edges or there is a chance that the lace might come off.

That is about it.
The DIY is a little complicated and you need to be very careful while doing it.
But, it is really fun and the outcome is worth the lengthy process.
I hope you guys liked the DIY.

Thanks for reading!
